Museum of London Docklands X The Event Company

Using audio visuals to bring an event to life and creating lasting first impressions.

Client Brief: Post-Graduate Party

Our client UCL School of Management wanted to welcome their newly enrolled postgraduate students from different cultures and countries to their annual induction party at The Museum of London Docklands.

The client required an audio visual production setup inclusive of live music entertainment and lighting for their post graduate induction party. The aim of the party was to connect students from different backgrounds and nationalities in an informal setting at the Museum of London, Docklands. Our brief was to create an engaging and welcoming atmosphere for students who were from diverse backgrounds, nationalities and cultures to come together and celebrate the start of their postgraduate journey.

Solution

The historic venue needed to transition from day to night-time party atmosphere. We delivered new energy to the museum using creative lighting to show off the Grade 1 listed Georgian building and the exposed brick work. We showcased the beauty of the museum’s artistic internal features by installing a range of up lights and down lights giving a sense of a cocktail lounge and club feel.

Our audio team installed wireless microphones, speakers and a high-end PA system for speeches by the professors welcoming students to UCL.

To give the party an extra touch of extravagance we provided a LED DJ booth with dancing graphics. Live music from a sourced guitarist and singer, following a night of mainstream music really got the party started.

Outcome

Students and professors spent the evening celebrating and enjoying the venue and live entertainment. Our team successfully delivered to brief and the client was delighted with all of the student feedback on how well the party turned out.
